We want to thank you all for the outpouring of love and support you have shown to us and our country over the past year. February 24th will be 1 year since Russia invaded Ukraine. Looking back over this time, we can’t help but thank God for His provision and encouragement through His people. We thank God for you!

We want to specifically thank Arcade Church and everyone else who has taken part in sending over the large containers with humanitarian aid. We received the container sent in late November at our base (see attached picture) and are so thankful for the timeliness and safety of its arrival. The container sent in January is in transit. Plans are being made to fill and send an additional container this Spring.

Unfortunately, the war is not over and the people of Ukraine still need your support. We beg you not to forget about what is happening in Ukraine.

Currently, there is a lot of talk of another big attack. People are preparing for the worst and the Ukrainian military is drafting new soldiers daily. 18 brothers and friends who attended the men’s retreat last year are currently serving. There is a lot of fear and anxiety about the possibility of this attack. Please pray for us and our people. Pray that God would not allow the enemy to succeed and that He would be gracious to our country.

Please pray for Peter next week as he heads to the war zone to bring humanitarian aid to those affected by the war. He is waiting on confirmation from officials for special passes to access the spots where he will be going.

Please pray for wisdom on how to best minister to our people right now and in the coming months. We are going to be meeting with church leaders and pastors to discuss ministry plans for the coming months and summer activities. We understand that the situation can change in the country at any second but are planning and praying that God would guide our steps.

Because of your support, God has allowed us to partner with our small local town in providing them aid for refugees and poor families who have been affected by the war. One lady who is about 70 years old has been helping distribute aid to the families in need. She called me a few days ago crying and thanking us for teaching her how to help others for free. She brought a box to an elderly lady and when she arrived, the lady started kissing her feet and thanking her because she hadn’t eaten for 3 days. She said she didn’t even realize there were people that poor and needy living right beside her. She said although she didn’t receive a penny for her time, she received so much more than money.

Thank you all for making this aid possible and for caring for those who can never personally thank you or give anything in return. May God bless you and grant you favor.

With much love and gratitude,

Peter and Irina Tkachuk
